There is a quote, “Life is uncertain, eat dessert first”.
I am one of those people who likes prescribing to this rule whenever it’s socially acceptable.
I have always had more of a preference for dessert rather than savoury food; it must be because of my Belgian roots.
My dad and grandparents came from Belgium and have always been strong believers in enjoying a scrumptious sweet; especially as my grandad used to make cakes!
So when I stumbled across Adelaide Waffle’s/ Waffle & Coffee while wandering down Leigh Street one day, I couldn’t resist a visit.
I am delighted to report that Adelaide Waffle’s/ Waffle & Coffee serves genuine Belgian-style waffles.
I should know, I have tried them!

Each waffle at Adelaide Waffle’s/ Waffle & Coffee is absolutely covered with indulgent and delicious toppings.
From smooth cream cheese, strawberries, chocolate topping or icing sugar to their new Cookie and Cream Waffle covered in ice-cream, whipped cream and crunchy Oreo cookie, there are flavours for everyone.

The service is quick and the staff are friendly and while it is a tad cosy, the quirky decor adds a sense of European charm.
